About
PC Per Dollar is an independent comparison tool for prebuilt gaming PCs. We pull listings from major retailers, work out what each build's parts would cost on their own, and rank every PC by how much you save (or don't) versus building it yourself.
Why we built it
Shopping for a prebuilt gaming PC is a mess. Two listings with nearly identical specs can have wildly different prices, and every retailer's pitch makes their build sound like a steal. We wanted a single place where every PC gets the same honest test: are you actually paying less than the parts cost on their own?
How to use it
- Browse the catalog — sort by best PC/$ score, by price, or filter to a specific GPU or retailer.
- Find a build — pick the GPU and CPU you want, see prebuilts at that performance level.
- Analyze a URL — paste any prebuilt's URL and get an instant verdict.
- Compare — pin builds to compare them side by side.
How we stay independent
We don't take payment from manufacturers or retailers to influence rankings. The PC/$ score is the same for every listing, regardless of who's selling it. When we eventually earn commission on a sale, that won't change which builds appear on the leaderboard — we just earn a small cut from the retailer if you click through and buy.
